About

About Me

MY BACKGROUND

I have had a life long passion for IT, in particular video game and software development and I hope to gain the knowledge to exel in the Industry. I prioritise the wellbeing of those around me over the ability to get a product out at maximum efficiency, I love to learn and improve and I work well in a team and alone, which I believe will make me a good fit for where I want to see the industry head in the future. WHY COMPUTER SCIENCE?

Since the first time I played on a video game console (Spryo the dragon for the play station 1) I had been fascinated by them, that fascination grew very quickly and soon it become all things computers. So when I entered high school and was introduced to programming a game for the first time I fell in love. In the following year I continued to learn more, I participated in an interschool robotics competition in which as teams we used the lego mindstorms nxt 2.0s to design and program a robot to complete a series of challenges. From there I also was a part of our school's Tournament of Minds STEM team.

After graduating highschool I spent the next year doing my first year of a bachelor's of science at UQ more focused around chemisty, needless to say it wasn't where I saw myself in the future, Then the year after in 2020 I transfered to a bachelor's of engineering at QUT still not sure on what I wanted to do with myself in the future. I found myself enjoying it a lot more but it still didn't feel like the right fit for me so with covid-19 hitting Queensland pretty hard at the time I took the oppertunity and decided to look for something else. That led me to studying at TAFE where I completed my Cert IV in Cyber Security and while doing so it reignited my desire and love for computers and I knew I had found what I wanted to do, and now im here studying at Griffith and enjoying every second of it.
